One Embankment is a landmark building in the heart of Leeds which has undergone a major renovation with works by The Harris Partnership and Vector Design Concepts. Comprising five-storeys, the building offers a range of flexible working spaces including self-contained open plan office-space, a ground floor reception area and business lounge. Project designer Ketia Fong Wah commented: “Obviously more people are working from home, but the right office space is still business critical. “Demand continues to rise for flexible spaces that offer breakout areas, room for collaboration and an environment that enables creative thinking - and that’s what One Embankment’s new space will deliver.”

What was the problem or design objective you were looking to solve in your project, and why did you choose Flux screen?

Initially we were looking at fixed screens to identify specific zones but needed a flexible solution to optimise the space for events.

How have the panels changed the open plan working space / reception area / In terms of function, acoustics, visual impact, or atmosphere? Please be as specific as possible.

The visual impact of the screens compliments the space with the added functionality of zoning off areas and absorbing unwanted sound travel.

The product is very versatile and a cost effective way to partition areas.
