Prestigious design award win for Friends of Wilson!
We’re delighted to announce that the Friends of Wilson brochure was voted top of the class with a special Gold award at this year’s Scottish Design Awards ceremony last Thursday evening!
Huge thanks to Kerr Vernon at Everything Will Be Fine for creating such a beautiful and unique piece of printed design that so strikingly represents the design and ethos of our products and brand.
Also, thanks to the storytelling talents of creative copywriter Sean Rankine, who I worked closely with over the intense days of Covid via Glasgow and Copenhagen. Sean teased out the FoW story, bringing it to life to create a backdrop for the products, articulating each design perfectly with his expressive prose to give insight and context to our products and brand.
Another key contributor was photographer Susan Castillo who captured our designs' essence and design detail with an otherworldly beauty that saw them transcend their practical function to a work of art. Assisting in the photography session, I was also given an inspiring insight into her creative process.
In true ‘Friends of Wilson’ style, our brochure was a labour of love and a collaborative effort and coming together of creative minds dedicated to the power of good design. It was an all-around fantastic experience, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the recognition—thanks, guys!
